How to Verify a Mailing?

If you receive a letter or postcard in the mail regarding the Regional Travel Survey, certain information will help you verify its legitimacy. For example, the return address will include the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board, the sponsoring agency, and RSG, the survey research firm selected to conduct the survey.

Additionally, the logos from our partnering agencies, such as the District Department of Transportation, Maryland Department of Transportation, Virginia Department of Transportation, Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, will be displayed at the bottom.

The mailing will include a unique access code for your household to join the survey. To get started, complete a brief ten-minute survey and receive $5. Next, we will ask your household to report your travel for a randomly assigned travel period. Your household will receive an additional $5-$10 per person for completing the full survey.
